Wow those are some upscale stuff they have. Well you don’t have to wait too long because the new collection of AKOO Clothing has just dropped on DrJays.com and here are our favorites!
Being away in prison doesn’t mean TI is off the list of some of the biggest awards. Take MTV Video Music Awards, which will be held in September 13, 2009. TI’s “Live Your Life” video sits among the nominees of the Best Male Video Award, along with Eminem’s “We Made You”, Jay-Z’s “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)”, Ne-Yo’s “Miss Independent” and Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown”.
This is TI’s fourth consecutive Best Male nomination on the MTV Video Music Awards, and he never won a Moonman in any category before, unlike Eminem who snagged the Best Male Video Award for “The Real Slim Shady” in 2000 and “Without Me” in 2002. Kanye West has also won the Best Male Video award for his 2005 song: “Jesus Walks”. Tip, Jay-Z and Ne-Yo have been nominated to get the Moonman, however none of the three have won the category just yet.

To those who always wonder how things are behind the clothing line, good news because they are all one big happy family at AKOO Clothing. The fun atmosphere shows vividly at the Fall/Winter 2009 AKOO at Milk Studios in NYC. Tip might still be away in prison, but his guys are working hard to make sure you get the best AKOO clothing.

It’s already 3 months since TI went to prison and we bet you miss the guy like mad. Thank goodness the rapper has prepared stuff for his fans prior to doing his time, so we all won’t miss him that much. Here’s his collaboration with John Legend in the song titled “Slide Show”, from his album “Paper Trail”.
Wow, the AKOO Fox made an appearance. Which reminds us… have you got these new AKOO stuff? They’re the newest from the Fall ‘09 lineup. Look at the new version of Snobby tees: The VOX.
Here’s some music of the day, TI’s “Whatever You Like” got remixed by a girl named Anya Marina. Anya is an indie musician who has been touring with Jason Mraz for the past year. She put a new flavor to TI’s hit “Whatever You Like” and you can check it out right here.

But we all know what we really like, and that’s AKOO clothing line by TI. Here’s its latest addition to the AKOO Snobby Glory Tee and that’s the red one.
For those of you who have waited for this video, we’re happy to share the newest video of “Remember Me” which was released two days ago.
The good news is, the official video is out and it’s great. The not-so-good news is that you won’t be able to get your hands on those re-release edition of TI’s album: Paper Trail (Paper Trail – Case Closed). The supposedly-released disc includes “Live Your Life” -Witih Rihanna, “Dead and Gone” -with Justin Timberlake and “Swagga Like Us”.
According to Atlantic reps, the songs will be released digitally instead.
Now this is a sentence from DJ Drama about TI that makes fans everywhere wonder: will TI really come home sooner than his supposedly 366 days sentence?
In an interview with Mr. Peter Parker show, DJ Drama revealed that TI will come home ’sooner than later’. Here’s the interview:
DJ Drama stated:
“Nah, I haven’t talked to Tip directly. But I was up at the office the other day and he’s good. There were some rumors going on about some sickness or something that happened at the prison but all that’s false, I know he’s good. He’s getting all the letters people are writing him and everything. Tiny has been up there multiple times even though he says he don’t want nobody to come up and see him. I’m curious though, I definitely wanna know his reaction to the Michael Jackson situation, him passing and even in general you know. You think about all of the people locked up feeling the same way. Tip is good. He’ll be home sooner than later. You know what I mean, get right back to work.”
That’s a pretty bold statement as TI is due to be released in 2010.
Anyway, while waiting for TI’s official release from prison, there’s a good news. TI’s AKOO Clothing Line is on a major discount at DrJays. Here are some of the newest AKOO items on discount:

By now you probably realize how we always associate AKOO Clothing with its owner, TI (who wears them a lot, of course). Well turns out that other celebs -that includes athletes- are also donning AKOO and looking fly. PressPass.TV followed Ian Johnson of Minnesota Vikings and his wife, Chrissy, whom he proposed to after the Broncos’ 43-42 overtime victory in the Fiesta Bowl in 2006, going around New York City a few months back. They stopped at the AKOO office and Ian actually got some free AKOO stuff.
In TI news: We are dreading every single day towards TI’s incarceration. But guess what, the King of the South is asking for his ‘check-in’ date to be postponed. TI is supposed to report by noon Tuesday to the Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Arkansas. According to reports, TI asked a court to let him remain free while he looks for a placement in a minimum-security prison near Atlanta. Tip claims that his criminal history was miscalculated by prison officials, due to the fact that his lawyer called a 2003 ’scuffle’ with a mall cop. In the pre-sentencing report, it says that Tip has a “serious history of violence”. So when will the prison date be? The delay is said to be two weeks, but hey, anything can happen. We haven’t really heard about the exact date yet, but we do know that Tip is appearing in yet another farewell concert and after party this Sunday, May 24th, 2009 at Velvet Room, Atlanta.
