Due to his violation of probation a month ago when TI was charged with possession of controlled substance, and Judge Charles Parnnell Jr sentenced the rapper to 11 months in prison.
So, no Christmas with the family for Tip this year. Sad.
Anyway, TI manned up to his actions and offer his sincere apology to his fans. To Don Lemon of CNN, T.I. said:
“The only thing that I can say, man, is that all people who have supported me, who were behind me, who believed in me, who were disappointed and were let down, I just offered my sincerest apologies, and I will dedicate my life no matter how long it takes to earn your trust back and to make you proud yet again.”

Ok listen up, we’ve been calling rapper TI our hero because we just adore his music and personality. But now, the man has turned into a real life-saving hero. Yesterday our man, Tip, helped talked down a man attempting to jump off a 22-story building in Atlanta after listening to Ryan Cameron’s Radio Show on V103.
The hip hop superstar called to see if there was anything he could do to help, and immediately went to the scene. After meeting with the police officers, he recorded a heartfelt video message for the man, and waited as officials played the video for the man on the ledge.
In the video, Tip said:
“Nothing is that bad. Nothing is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.”
And after seeing Tip’s video, the man agreed to step off the ledge and talked to TI.
We know some of you are asking: Was this a publicity stunt?
In the interview with Hot 107.9’s The Durtty Boyz, TI explained:
How can I plan this? I don’t even understand how someone in a clear-thinking mind could even proposturalize such poppycock. It don’t make no sense to a rational thinking person. How in the hell could you say that someone, just because to benefit myself, I went out of my way? I didn’t do it, God did it! God did all the work, I just showed up. I’m not taking no credit, I’m not trying to say that I did this and I did that. All I did was show up and [tell] the officials, “If there’s anything I can do to help us resolve this peacefully, I’m willing.”
The bad publicity surrounding TI for the past few weeks turns out to bug some people, including Wacka Flocka’s mother, Debra Antney. She’s got all fired up, talking to blogger Sandra Rose, and said that people turned their backs on TI.
“Now [that] T.I. done went to jail, he ain’t the man no more! Everybody out there been doing drugs! But once upon a time, everybody was riding his ass! He was everything! And now the man takes a fall, and look how fast everybody start flippin’. Look how fast people start flippin’. He was EVERYTHING!”

The shower of bad publicity lately didn’t stop TI and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle from doing positive activities, and this one in particular -we are sure, wasn’t a ‘damage control’ sort of thing, but really came from their hearts.
As you probably know from the reality show “Tiny and Toya”, Tiny’s dad, Charles Pope, suffers from the Alzheimer’s disease and Tip’s dad, Clifford Harris Sr. died from it. This made Tiny and TI felt the need to form a non-profit foundation dedicated to help finding a cure and improve the quality of care for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their families.
The foundation is called “For The Love of Our Father’s” and it’s based in Atlanta, Georgia. Back to the positive vibes sent out by Tip and Tiny, the couple held a fund raiser luncheon for the foundation last weekend. TI commented on the event:
“It’s very, very personally close to our family. And while I was, you know, while I was going through my … period of hiatus, Tameka had the idea of … starting this foundation. And I thought it was an outstanding idea.”

For the past few weeks, TI has been busy with his recent arrest. But we’re not gonna talk about that because people make mistakes and that’s ok. What we do know is, our man Tip is about to do a remix collaboration with Chris Brown on Breezy’s new single: “Deuces”. TI won’t be the only superstar to jump into Chris Brown’s remix, as there will be other names too such as Kanye West, Drake, Fabolous and Andre3000. Chris Brown told his fans:
“I’mma let ya’ll know a little secret. We got the ‘Deuces’ remix coming. ‘Deuces’ remix features myself, Fabolous, T.I., Drake, Kanye West, and André 3000. I’m actually supposed to be getting Kanye’s verse any minute now. I got everybody else’s very ready, so we’re waiting right now. We’re gonna put it together and have it to ya’ll either by next week or this week, probably Friday. I ain’t making no promises and we’re gonna shoot the video for that, the video’s gonna be sick!”
We’ll be looking forward to that.

The past few days have been quite hellish for our man TI, as he and new wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle was arrested due to possession of a controlled substance that turned out to be ecstasy. Although Tip and Tiny are now back in Atlanta, the future of the case is still blurry, and we fear Tip will be seen as violating his probation. Well, while we’re hoping he won’t have to return to the slammer, here’s Tip talking about what other kind of “tip” is important for the community.
Now, this video makes people speculate: will Tip turn in the guy who sold him and Tiny the ecstasy pills? Or is this just a PSA? We’re sitting tight to see where this case goes. A week ago, TI guest-starred at the Jimmy Kimmel show and here’s something that made us laugh our butts off. Looks like Tip is quite the jokester. As Kimmel said: this is the modern, slightly urban version of the legendary -read Tom Selleck’s Magnum PI, here we have… Magnum TI.

The moustache looks good on Tip, indeed, but we’re not really sure about the wig. Looks like our man is perfect for a TV role. Wonder when he will consider starring in a TV show.
Speaking of stardom, in recent interview with Clay Cane from BET.com, TI said that he’s in the talks with Sony guys to do another installment of “Takers”. This is the excerpt of the interview:
I know it’s fairly early but do you see anywhere in the future a Takers sequel?
I’m a step ahead of you — I just got off the phone with the director, writer, the head of Screen Gems and the label heads over at Sony. We are working not a sequel, but a prequel to tell the back story of the characters.

Rapper TI has always been the person to turn to when you need your dose of ‘cool’ and now get this: TI’s AKOO Clothing has collaborated with world’s renowned motorcycle makers, Yamaha, and resulted in the AKOO Yamaha YZF-R1 Bike. The bike, now dubbed ‘AKOO YZF-R1′, features AKOO’s style in its details and it looks like TI had a love at first sight moment when he unveiled it back in Magic International Trade Show in Las Vegas last week.
The beautiful bike was customized by custom sportbike designer and builder, Rob Uecker of Voodoo Industries and the AKOO design team. Rob stated:
“What makes this Yamaha R1 so unique is the unusual mixture of textures and materials. When I look at the AKOO brand I see classic, rugged American styling. But I know T.I. is a serious rider, so it was important to me to accentuate the R1′s aggressive street stature. I worked closely with the AKOO design team to translate those aesthetics onto the Yamaha canvas, and the result is the best sportbike I have ever built.”
AKOO principal, Ralph Reynolds is also thrilled about the collaboration:
“Rob Uecker creates custom inspired creations, each one better than the last. The AKOO Yamaha R1 is truly one of these inspired creations. From a design, power, and style perspective the combining of our two different brands, VooDoo Industries’ magic has brought about truly inspired beauty. The bike is valued at $80,000 and we wonder who’s gonna have his hands on it fast. Will Tip make an offer? He sure looked good on it.
Got married to his longtime fiancee, released a movie and about to release an album, TI has been doing all sorts of things since his release from prison. Our radar spotted a new venture for the King of The South and that is… doing a voice-over for a cartoon.
RapRadar reported that TI told Angela Yee that he’s producing a cartoon series titled Lil Homies and may be doing voice overs as a narrator.
“I’m actually working on a TV show as a producer…a cartoon called Lil Homies. I may do [a] voice over, like a narrator.”
Although the deal is yet to be secured with the networks, TI is gearing up production. We can’t wait to hear the good news!
TI is one fine rapper. But you might overlook the fact that he’s also a great producer, salesman and businessman. Check his pitch about his new movie, “Takers” in a radio interview recently:
The recently-married rapper invites the ladies to come holler and show love… to his movie. TI even dubbed Takers to be one of the hottest movies in the century. If he succeeds on selling the flick to the ladies, what about the gents? Tip said:
“Guys, if you love guns, explosions, big money, and a lot of action… this film’s for you. And girls, if you like me, come on holler. And if I ain’t exactly what you’re into, then there are some other casts on the screen too.”
The king of the south is hilarious, and we love him for that. However, he can also be a total gentleman and pull a classic cigar-smoking, champagne-guzzling mobster look with his clean-cut look that may inspire you, gents!
