TI's Akoo Clothing Line

It’s been awhile since we last saw a celebrity rocking AKOO, and look what we found on our stash today:

Rapper Bow Wow and the King of the South reppin the voters back in the election season and both were looking fine.  The t-shirt was produced by AKOO and it’s the first AKOO t-shirt to be released.  The iconic t-shirt has become a part of US history! We still remember this exact time last year, where we are in full anticipation of TI’s incarceration. Things were tensed, gloomy and every inch of TI’s moves are monitored to see how he handles the 1 year and 1 day imprisonment.

But this year, thank goodness, Tip is in a totally different light. He officially ended the one year prison sentence last Friday after being released from the halfway house in mid February. Tip’s attorney, Steve Saddow stated:

“T.I. is sincerely grateful that he has completed his prison sentence successfully. He looks forward to doing the same thing while under probation. His [emotional] change started the day he was arrested and continues. He has made tremendous progress and is grateful for the opportunity to prove himself.”

Looks like Grand Hustle will have its leader back on the throne. Are you excited to see what’s coming up? We are, and AKOO has a couple of new stuff too.

New artist, Prince Jamir, shows his love to AKOO Clothing at his album’s release event at the Trump Towers recently. Prince Jamir has just released his debut album titled “My Offering” on Celestial Art Music Label. Lesson learned, people: love AKOO and AKOO loves you back. Been a while since we feature something as seen on TI and today, it’s the AKOO Ageless Sweatshirt.  Here’s Tip posing with LL Cool J when they attended the Audi’s TDI Clean Diesel Technology dinner at the Audi Forum earlier this year on May 12, 2009 in New York City.  Both lookin’ so fly, but we all know whose swagger we wanna steal, don’t we Tip fans?

Following the death of Ashley “AJ” Jewell, or Kandi Burrus’ fiancee, TI urges his fiancee, Tiny, to stay close to home to prevent becoming a target. AJ was killed in a fight erupted in an Atlanta strip club, earlier this month. Tiny, who happens to be Kandi Burrus’ bandmate in the 90′s all-female group, Xscape, dished her conversation with TI to AllHipHop.com.

“I talk to him about a little of everything, just things going on. He hears things and we talk about it. He wants me to stay out the way, me being out of harm’s way. I know it’s a lot of crazy things going on so I try to stay in as much as possible because I don’t have him here. So I come out only when it’s necessary. I stay out the way. But he even said it was a terrible situation that AJ had to lose his life like that. Him not knowing the situation and what’s going on he really can’t speak on it.”

Good to know they’re connecting although apart. Tiny even said that Tip takes care of Grand Hustle business from prison.

“He’s doing good. He’s passing the time by working out and just doing things they do inside, you know. He’s playing handball and things like that. I go see him every Sunday, sometimes on Mondays. We talk everyday. He gets emails, working out and doing things like that so he’s busy in there. He has a full schedule.”

TI will be released from prison on March 26, 2010. However, his AKOO Clothing line just released its newest collection for the season, and here are our favorites:

So TI wasn’t the only one absent from this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, his pal Kanye West also failed to make an appearance. At least TI was absent for a reason. He’s still paying his dues in prison, and sent Tiny, his fiancee to receive the Best Hip Hop Collaboration for his duet with Rihanna in single “Live Your Life” and was honored with Album of the Year for his latest album “Paper Trail”.

Tiny read a letter written by Tip, saying, “Although I’m not there with you all, I’m there in spirit. My road to redemption is almost over. … Thanks for the support.”

TI’s road to redemption IS almost over. Wow, time flies and it’s already 5 months after TI’s incarceration. And throughout these times, TI’s AKOO clothing business is not stopping. In fact, there’s a string of new arrivals and here are some of them:
