TI talked about his clothing line in the middle of his AKOO Fall/Winter 2010 collection photoshoot recently and apparently the stuff he talked about in the video weren’t the only things he wants his AKOO fans to know. The photoshoot took place at the Ace Hotel in Manhattan, and there’s a concept behind that. WomensWearDaily reported that TI actually envisioned his clothing line as a way for the boys to get some lovin’… even if it’s a three-way situation.
“We wanted to re-create the scenes and scenarios that a young, distinguished man of leisure would find himself in. I’m not going to say that these clothes will get you two or three women in a hotel room, but men have been known to wear these clothes in that situation.”

And it’s gonna be even hotter for you, TI fans, because the King of the South will not only be releasing his newest album “King Uncaged”, he will also launch his movie “Takers” this coming August.
Yes, the King of The South is indeed back, not only via his music, he also talks about his clothing line, AKOO. In an interview with MTV, TI revealed his plans for AKOO:
“The direction of the clothing line, in my eyes, is upscale urban apparel. I just wanna continue to diversify. Continue to grow. Continue to speak to the cool kids of America. That’s my idealistic outcome.”
MTV caught Tip in the middle of his exclusive photo shoot for his upcoming Fall 2010 collection with guest, Donnis. He also highlighted what’s to come from the brand:
“It’s all gonna be comfortable. Everything is gonna be comfortable, casual. To me, we got V-neck tees, crew-neck tees, wovens. Denim is a big part of the lines. We actually pride ourselves on the quality of our denim, especially at the price point we at. We got fleece. We got a lot of imagery, distinctive imagery on our pieces, that sets us apart from everything else going on out there.”
TI was spotted at the Los Angeles Lakers vs Atlanta Hawks game at the Philips Arena last week in Atlanta. Our man was looking real fine in his red jacket. If you’ve been wondering what jacket that is, you shouldn’t wonder too much because Tip always shows loyalty to his own brand, AKOO.
TI kicked it with R&B singer, Bobby Valentino. Ladies, which one would you hit?
TI also hung out with Young Jeezy at the game.
The rapper also hung out with one of the flyest mayors in the country: Kasim Reed who looked sharp with his navy suit.

We still remember this exact time last year, where we are in full anticipation of TI’s incarceration. Things were tensed, gloomy and every inch of TI’s moves are monitored to see how he handles the 1 year and 1 day imprisonment.
But this year, thank goodness, Tip is in a totally different light. He officially ended the one year prison sentence last Friday after being released from the halfway house in mid February. Tip’s attorney, Steve Saddow stated:
“T.I. is sincerely grateful that he has completed his prison sentence successfully. He looks forward to doing the same thing while under probation. His [emotional] change started the day he was arrested and continues. He has made tremendous progress and is grateful for the opportunity to prove himself.”
Looks like Grand Hustle will have its leader back on the throne. Are you excited to see what’s coming up? We are, and AKOO has a couple of new stuff too.

Been a while since we feature something as seen on TI and today, it’s the AKOO Ageless Sweatshirt. Here’s Tip posing with LL Cool J when they attended the Audi’s TDI Clean Diesel Technology dinner at the Audi Forum earlier this year on May 12, 2009 in New York City. Both lookin’ so fly, but we all know whose swagger we wanna steal, don’t we Tip fans?
Following the death of Ashley “AJ” Jewell, or Kandi Burrus’ fiancee, TI urges his fiancee, Tiny, to stay close to home to prevent becoming a target. AJ was killed in a fight erupted in an Atlanta strip club, earlier this month. Tiny, who happens to be Kandi Burrus’ bandmate in the 90’s all-female group, Xscape, dished her conversation with TI to AllHipHop.com.
“I talk to him about a little of everything, just things going on. He hears things and we talk about it. He wants me to stay out the way, me being out of harm’s way. I know it’s a lot of crazy things going on so I try to stay in as much as possible because I don’t have him here. So I come out only when it’s necessary. I stay out the way. But he even said it was a terrible situation that AJ had to lose his life like that. Him not knowing the situation and what’s going on he really can’t speak on it.”
Good to know they’re connecting although apart. Tiny even said that Tip takes care of Grand Hustle business from prison.
“He’s doing good. He’s passing the time by working out and just doing things they do inside, you know. He’s playing handball and things like that. I go see him every Sunday, sometimes on Mondays. We talk everyday. He gets emails, working out and doing things like that so he’s busy in there. He has a full schedule.”
TI will be released from prison on March 26, 2010. However, his AKOO Clothing line just released its newest collection for the season, and here are our favorites:
