Now this is a sentence from DJ Drama about TI that makes fans everywhere wonder: will TI really come home sooner than his supposedly 366 days sentence?

In an interview with Mr. Peter Parker show, DJ Drama revealed that TI will come home ’sooner than later’.  Here’s the interview:

DJ Drama stated:

“Nah, I haven’t talked to Tip directly. But I was up at the office the other day and he’s good. There were some rumors going on about some sickness or something that happened at the prison but all that’s false, I know he’s good. He’s getting all the letters people are writing him and everything. Tiny has been up there multiple times even though he says he don’t want nobody to come up and see him. I’m curious though, I definitely wanna know his reaction to the Michael Jackson situation, him passing and even in general you know. You think about all of the people locked up feeling the same way. Tip is good. He’ll be home sooner than later. You know what I mean, get right back to work.”

That’s a pretty bold statement as TI is due to be released in 2010.

While TI is spending his days at the Arkansas Federal Prison, his fiancé, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle is getting busy with her own gigs and one of them is starring in the BET reality television show with Antonia “Toya” Carter.  So if you wanna get a taste of Tiny’s or Toya’s life, be sure to watch out for the show about the “Hot Moms of ATL”.

Before you forget who Tiny is (aside of TI’s longtime fiancé and the mother of his children), we’re gonna refresh your memory.  Tameka “Tiny” Cottle is a 90’s singer with the group, Xscape.  While Toya, is the ex-wife of rapper Lil Wayne and the mother of his daughter.  Talk about the ladies of hip hop royalties.

As we quote from the press release:

“Each episode will give the audience an inside look into Tiny and Toya’s lives. They take us on an exciting rollercoaster ride in search of independence and a quest to set the record straight. We watch them flip the script and create new business ventures of their own. They will be faced with real choices that will potentially change their lives and the lives of those around them forever. In TI news: We are dreading every single day towards TI’s incarceration. But guess what, the King of the South is asking for his ‘check-in’ date to be postponed. TI is supposed to report by noon Tuesday to the Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Arkansas. According to reports, TI asked a court to let him remain free while he looks for a placement in a minimum-security prison near Atlanta. Tip claims that his criminal history was miscalculated by prison officials, due to the fact that his lawyer called a 2003 ’scuffle’ with a mall cop. In the pre-sentencing report, it says that Tip has a “serious history of violence”. So when will the prison date be? The delay is said to be two weeks, but hey, anything can happen.  We haven’t really heard about the exact date yet, but we do know that Tip is appearing in yet another farewell concert and after party this Sunday, May 24th, 2009 at Velvet Room, Atlanta.

Prior to entering the clinker, TI shares his thoughts and message to his fans out there.  This is his blog post via GlobalGrind.com.

In a few weeks, I will begin a one-year prison sentence for being in the possession of illegal firearms. Where I come from, having a gun is just part of everyday life. But, through this painful process of going to court and being convicted, I realized that I had to make a change. I made some bad decisions. I broke the law and will accept my punishment. With deep reflection about where my life was headed, I have begun the process of redemption, and decided that before I go to prison, I want to speak to young people about responsibility as a lifestyle. I hope that through my mistakes, young people can begin to learn, as I did, that we have to put our guns down and start to give our guns back. It pains me inside to hear about so many of our people dying because of gun violence. Just in the past weeks, a 13-year old boy was shot in the head in Harlem, a 17 and 19-year old were murdered in a double homicide in Queens and a 15 year old was chased, beaten, shot and burned in Chicago.

We will gather today in Harlem, with many mentors and supporters by my side, including Rev. Al Sharpton, Russell Simmons, Kevin Liles, Political Swagger, Mobile Regime and the C.H.A.N.G.E. Initiative to share the message that now is the time. Now is the time to speak out against gun violence. Now is the time to take responsibility for our actions. Now is the time to make our communities safer. Now is the time to support good legislation, like the S.N.U.G. bill in NY. Now is the time to give back our guns. Now is the time for me to lead by example.

We can and we will do better.
