TI’s might be missing his luxurious lifestyle now that he’s in jail, but we’re hoping the day will come where he can enjoy the lifestyle again.  According to recent (leaked) reports, TI had quite a long concert rider.  What’s a rider?  It’s a list of bunch of stuff demanded by an artist that has to be provided by the promoters -outside of the performance fee, normally.

Here are TI’s concert rider:

TI might just be gone to prison for only a day now, but fans can all expect the launch of TI’s official going away present: “A Year And A Half” which will drop on Friday, May 29th, 2009. We’ve told you that TI and his fiancé, Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, had planned to marry before TI’s incarceration.  And then the news was brushed off just like that.  And then we received TI’s farewell bash invitation in Miami.  We were curious on the whole strict white dress code and wondered whether a wedding really took place.  And today, according to The Urban Daily, Tip and Tiny did tie the knot in a super-secret ceremony on an island just outside of Miami, after being together for as far back as 2001.

The source -who by the way wants to remain anonymous because they’re not really supposed to talk about it- said:

“Its been a crazy situation around here with all that has been taking place. In regards to Tiny and T.I., yes they are officially husband and wife. It recently took place in a very private ceremony with only members of the immediate family and certain members of the Grand Hustle family.”

In more recent TI News, according to reports, TI missed the Tuesday noon deadline to turn himself into the low security prison in Arkansas. Many blogs and news sources spied on the matter, some said he was a no show and some said he came in early to the Arkansas Federal Prison, but the latest report said that TI is already within the facility, confirmed by Prison spokeswoman, Linda Thomas, to the Associated Press. She could not offer an intake time for the rapper, however, TI will serve time as federal prison inmate No. 59458019. At 12.29 p.m.today,  a Georgia-license plated van pulled up to the prison, escorted by guards and prison officials in 3 different vehicle.

Originally, T.I. faced 10 years in prison for an illegal purchase of high-powered AK-47’s and AR 15s with silencers. But the sentence was reduced into 1,000 hours of community service and 366 days of imprisonment. TI has completed his community service hours and is now completing his prison sentence.

Well, we wish Tip congratulations on the wedding and good luck on the sentence!

**MAJOR UPDATE**

Turns out initial reports on the TI and Tiny wedding are false.  TI’s publicist sent out an official statement as follows:

Despite what you may have heard, T.I. & Tiny have not gotten married.

Essence.com reported that a source told them the couple got married in a private ceremony in Miami a few weeks ago. T.I.’s publicist, Sydney Margetson, told S2S that the news is “absolutely not true.”

T.I. and Tiny have been engaged for well over two years, and they are raising a family together in Atlanta.

There was speculation that the two were planning to jump the broom before T.I. reported for his 366-day prison sentence. T.I. began serving his time on Tuesday, but the two still haven’t tied the knot..

That’s too bad.  We’ll still be rooting for them to make it official, though.

We’re sure the video will turn out great ‘coz Tip is accompanied with his crew and some very pretty ladies. So get this: remember when we reported on Friday that TI requested a 2-week delay for his imprisonment and for him to check into a prison closer to home?  Well today we got the answer.  TI’s motion was denied by U.S. District Judge, Charles A. Pannell, Jr., so that means Tip will stick with the schedule to turn himself in and will report to the Forest City federal prison, Arkansas at noon, Tuesday, May 26th, 2009.  And here are some pics from TI’s Final Countdown Concert at Philips Arena on May 24, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia.

In TI news: We are dreading every single day towards TI’s incarceration. But guess what, the King of the South is asking for his ‘check-in’ date to be postponed. TI is supposed to report by noon Tuesday to the Federal Correction Institution at Forrest City, Arkansas. According to reports, TI asked a court to let him remain free while he looks for a placement in a minimum-security prison near Atlanta. Tip claims that his criminal history was miscalculated by prison officials, due to the fact that his lawyer called a 2003 ’scuffle’ with a mall cop. In the pre-sentencing report, it says that Tip has a “serious history of violence”. So when will the prison date be? The delay is said to be two weeks, but hey, anything can happen.  We haven’t really heard about the exact date yet, but we do know that Tip is appearing in yet another farewell concert and after party this Sunday, May 24th, 2009 at Velvet Room, Atlanta.

TI looked relaxed, laid back and so damn fine last night at the Game One of the Western Conference Finals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center on May 19, 2009 in Los Angeles, California.  He’s wearing one of the upcoming polo collection from his clothing line, AKOO.

So we have reported that Tip might only spend around 2 months in jail and we were ready to jump up and down, although still holding back because that just seemed too good to be true.

Today we found that it was too good to be true.  Due to the Associated Press report on Sunday, the Forrest City low-security federal prison in Little Rock, Arkansas, reports that after receiving a 366 days in prison as a sentence, Tip had been given credit for 305 days of home detention, thus making the news agency misread the sentencing report.  The story of Tip’s prospect of just spending around 30 days in the clinker has been silenced by a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, saying that it’s not accurate.  TI was indeed given credit for the 305 days of home confinement he served while he was awaiting trial in the case.  It’s a totally separate thing with his prison sentence.

Doh.

Tip was charged for illegal firearms possession and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm last March, after he was caught red handed in 2007 purchasing unlicensed machine guns and silencers to protect himself after his best friend was killed.

Guess we’ll have to see what will happen as TI turns himself in on May 26th.
