Rapper TI was seen in the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks Playoff Game 5 at Philips Arena on April 29, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Tip is seen sporting a new AKOO short-sleeve plaid shirt and is that a new AKOO baseball cap (?).
Here’s a closer look on the shirt.
It’s not out yet, but TI’s given a hint that this shirt will look great with a flaming orange AKOO t-shirts. So if you haven’t got that orange touch from the latest AKOO Collection, here are our suggestions.

While we’re at it, here are some other new tees from Tip’s AKOO Clothing line. After seeing lots of orange, we think they’re toning things down with their basic black and white. Well they’re still the coolest, though.
As we previously mentioned, TI was rumored to marry his longtime fiancee Tiny. As if the hip hop world wants to brush off yesterday’s news about TI being Rihanna’s booty caller, today major gossip sites say that Tip will indeed tie the knot before entering prison. The bachelor party will take place in Miami at the infamous King of Diamonds strip club, sometimes before May 19th – the day TI’s supposed to go to prison. Some speculate that they’re doing this to get conjugal visits, but we’re happy for them no matter what the reason is… ‘coz we love Tip and Tiny. Again, Tip rocked orange-clad getup to the Investment Club Wednesdays at Luckie Food Lounge, and Tiny matched his look.
TI went all-AKOO last night and we’re still waiting for that shiny orange AKOO track jacket and AKOO t-shirt to drop. Well, as we have already talked orange yesterday, how about having some AKOO greens today just to balance things up. And here are our favorite greens from TI’s Clothing Line: AKOO.
While her best friend/assistant, Melissa, is rumored to have a crush on Rihanna and driven her away from the arms of Chris Brown, other rumors have been swirling around about TI’s involvement in the Chris Brown-Rihanna case. The latest we hear is the speculation of TI being the third person in Rihanna and Chris’ relationship. Word is, someone from TI’s camp leaked the fact that RiRi and TI have been making some last minute booty calls before Tip hits the slammer for 366 days. Tip and RiRi are rumored to be really into each other but can’t be more than anything due to the fact that Tip’s already got a family. While Chris Brown is drinking his career away, Tip is rumored to be still seeing Rihanna.
Well we don’t know whether the rumors are true, but we do know the name of that AKOO t-shirt worn by TI in that 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on the picture above. It’s one of our favorites: AKOO King Banner Tee.

The Twitter bird have almost replaced the ‘social butterfly’ term these days, as everyone we all know gets pecked and hung up on their Twitter account. P. Diddy even has a Twitter nickname, P. Twitty. Nick Cannon has a twitter account, Soulja Boy Tellem got one too… almost every big name in hip hop has a Twitter account and we were waiting for The King of South, TI to launch his own Twitter account. Well actually, there IS one Twitter account under TI’s name, but after seeing this video, we can assure you that it’s a fake one.
It’s an official video posted by the ATL Hustlers over the weekend and TI confirmed that Twitter ain’t his swag.
“It’s not my swag. I’m an old fashion type of dude. I’ll write you a letter and hand you a picture, let ‘em fly it to you. Put you a letter in a box, floating to your side of the country. I ain’t on the computer sh**. [Twitter is] not for me. No offense to those who do it. Twit on playa. People got the king, just not on Twitter.”
So does this mean we can send him letters to the clinker, then? We’ll keep our ears up.
TI lookin’ good when attending The Bosses’ birthday bash at Luckie’s, Atlanta. The star studded event had a long guest list which included TI’s boo, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, Jermaine Dupri, Usher’s wife / celebrity stylist Tameka Raymond, DJ Infamous, NBA star Dominique Wilkins and many more.
While Tip wasn’t wearing AKOO top or outerwear, we just know that he’s donning the AKOO The Returner Jean.
TI is not the only one facing a 366 days sentence due to the illegal firearms purchase case. Tip’s bodyguard, Corey Williams, who was also the police informant received a 366 days sentence as well. Williams worked for Tip since 2007, and his previously clean record allowed him to purchase weapons for TI. As we all know, the rapper was barred from weapon purchase due to his previous criminal convictions.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms soon found out about the arrangement after Williams tried to purchase a machine gun without registering the weapon. He violated the federal law and got arrested. Upon his arrest, Williams agreed to cooperate with the police and got wired during meetings with Tip, and this led to Tip’s arrest.
TI was faced with an up to 10 years sentence, but he managed to secure a deal of 1000 hours of community service and 366 days of prison time. He has completed the requirement by speaking directly to troubled teens and coming up with his MTV reality show: Road to Redemption. While Corey has already served his time, Tip will be entering jail next month.
While waiting for his day to go to prison, Tip has been busy adding 5 extra songs to his Paper Trail album that will be re-released sometime this year, also tending his cool clothing line, AKOO. Speaking of AKOO, here’s our pick of the day:
