Our friends at MediaTakeOut just reported that TI and his fianceé, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle are planning to have a secret wedding before Tip has to report to prison on May 19th, 2009. Sources close to the couple says:
“They’re having a small, intimate ceremony… it will be private and it will happen before TI [enters prison on May 19].”
As you all know, TI and Tiny have been going out for 10 years now and we couldn’t be happier if this gossip were true. Congrats to TI and Tiny, and we’ll search for more news on their upcoming nuptials!
So check it guys, here are TI’s AKOO Clothing showcased in the Funkshion Fashion Show, Miami, last Saturday. We spotted some stuff way closer and clearer than we did on the BET fashion show. Here goes:
There are some shirts already available online. The one on the lady with the pink undies is the AKOO Rosebud Long Sleeve Shirt in Olive ($86.00). It also comes in white.
Now here, we only see the AKOO Pale Horse Cargo Shorts ($94). You know, looking back, a lot of people thought AKOO Clothing line would just consist of graphic t-shirts and therefore would be just another rapper’s clothing line. But with this Spring/Summer 2009 collection, AKOO proved to be a high-quality clothing line. We’re feelin’ the preppy look.
Here are some of AKOO’s most anticipated accessories: scarves and gloves. Although it’s a bit mind-boggling to put gloves in its Spring/Summer collection, we like the colors and we think they are teasers to what AKOO has in store for fall. And those scarves? We like!
There are your never-seen-before polo shirts. We like the colors!
We like the pink (or is it faded orange?) AKOO V Neck sweatshirt.
But what we’re all waiting for are these AKOO tote bags and backpack. The tote bags have a nautical feel to them, and the backpack is a bit more intricate and we can’t wait to get our hands on them.

You gotta love the fact that our man Tip doesn’t have to report to prison until May 19th, 2009. So instead of going to the clinker last Friday, the King of the South performed with B.o.B at Loft in Atlanta. Check his performance out.
Rapper TI received his prison sentence last Friday, March 27, and is expected to report to prison by May 19, 2009. He was sentenced to 366 days behind bars and in addition, Tip received 3 years supervised release. Tip pleaded guilty last March after he got arrested for trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers in 2007, in between his rehearsal at BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. TI was also charged for unlawful possession of machine guns and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. So far, Tip has completed about 1,000 community service hours out of 1,500 through his public appearances to speak to the youth and also his MTV reality series “TI’s Road to Redemption”.

Y’all know that our boy TI have been teasing us all the past three months with the newest AKOO swagga and let us tell ya, here are some supercool AKOO pants, designed by the rapper / celebrity designer, TI that are already available to purchase online.
The King of The South, TI, appeared on The Bonnie Hunt Show earlier this month and we can say that TI is indeed a King of himself, staying cool, calm and collected in this somewhat awkward interview. Bonnie clearly have been doing a LOT of reading about her guest star, but her audience is way off TI’s demographic. Watch how the King handles the awkwardness.
Bonnie was real nice to Tip, but we think she’s somewhat intimidated by TI’s calm presence. Here’s the second part of the interview.
Actually we think the interview was very heartfelt and sincere. Bonnie was pretty and Tip looked cool -as always. We’re diggin’ TI’s swagger and he’s definitely wearing the AKOO Blue Pelt Jeans.

Man, Tiny sure got under TI’s skin. The King got all red and blushing when she asked “Where’s the part two at?” LOL! Well at least there’s one new thing about TI we learned in this video: boy sure love his veggies. That explains his lean form. Hope he eats more in the clinker.

With only a matter of days to his incarceration, TI said that his “official day of reckoning” is not the thing he’s really thinking about. TI told SOHH: “[I] focus on today and let tomorrow handle itself. That’s all I can do. I don’t have [to think about it]. I know it’s there. It doesn’t require any thought. I think about preparing myself financially, making sure that everything is in place that I need it to be in order for the lifestyle of my family to continue in the way that it must.”
If you’re a die-hard TI fan who can’t wait for his ‘just-out-of-jail’ concert, don’t put your hopes too high ‘coz Tip said he’s not planning to go back to the rap scene too soon. “I might take me about a week or two to myself. Kick it with my fan, go on vacation, let my hair down a little bit just to clear my head and prepare myself for the rigorous schedule that will be placed in front of me to make up for lost time,” he said, giving us all assurance that he will definitely be back, only after spending quality time with the family. “I’m not gonna sit still too long. I don’t celebrate success too long, I just try to work on the next successful opportunity.”
After being arrested in 2007 for an illegal purchase of three machine guns and two silencers for $12,000, Tip received a deferred jail sentence of one year and one day, followed by three years supervised release plus 1,500 hours of community service and a $100,000 fine. Last month Tip accepted a plea deal that would keep him out of jail for some time, and this deal involves home confinement as well as completing 1,000 hours of community service before his jail time. The 1,000 hours community service can be seen through Tip’s reality show in MTV: Road to Redemption where the rapper helps at-risk kids and teach them tough love to not make the same mistakes he did.
One thing Tip taught us all to do all these times is lookin’ fly. And if you wanna look fly like him, here’s a new polo shirt release from TI’s clothing line AKOO (A King Of Oneself).
We’re glad to tell y’all that TI’s finally seen with his family before his incarceration. Dude has been so busy touring and collaborating with fellow rap stars that we rarely see him spend his last days as a free man with wifey-to-be, Tiny, and the kids. But finally The King of The South spent some quality time with his baby mamas, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and (surprise surprise) Lashon Dixon, on his children’s birthdays; Zonnique, 13 and Domani, 8. Zonnique is Tiny’s daughter, while Domani is Tip’s offspring with Lashon.
Looks like Zonnique will soon be a heartbreaker and Domani shares his dad’s good looks. We’re amazed at how much alike Zonnique and Tiny look like!
The happy event was held at the Cascade Family Skating Rink. Fly celebrity guests include Usher, Yng Joc, Soulja Boy, Young Dro, Killer Mike and many more.
