TI (real name: Clifford Harris) was handing out toys to the kids earlier this week to students at the Booker T. Washington Center in Macon, Georgia. They almost lost their local community center this month due to lack of funding.
He spoke on the importance of the center and participating in extracurricular activities to stay out of trouble. Although TI’s required to do a cool 1000 hours of community service, he’s always been about serving others. He has his own charity called the Grand Hustle K.I.N.G Foundation.
Check TI handling out goodies to the little ones. Looks like happy times for everyone there.

T.I. can’t even leave the state of Georgia without having a mob of federal agents following and monitoring him at all times. He won’t get much alone time with his family for this New Year and Christmas with a federal agent staring him down at all times.
Rapper T.I. is to be flanked by federal security guards this New Year’s Eve as a consequence of his impending prison sentence in March.The hip-hop star is not allowed outside of his native Georgia without a police escort, meaning he will have to spend his planned New Year’s Eve party celebrations in Miami, Florida, trailed by federal security guards.

TI recently finished shooting the video for his hit single “Swing Ya Rag”, but the video will never see the light of day thanks to Louis Vuitton and Gucci.
As you know many of the lyrics to the song make use of Gucci shoes, Louis Vuitton bags and I would think the video had a lot of swagg from those two clothing labels. I guess they weren’t happy with the reference of their top shelf brand referenced in a hip hop/rap video.
I would think it could only help the brand with such a successful rapper as TI giving free word of mouth in a hit song. (They could always blur out the brand name in the video)
What’s your take?
TI was recently on the cover of Rap-Up magazine and he spoke on some strong subjects including his pending jail sentence, Kanye West, and his children dealing with him going away for a year.
On how his children are going to deal with his time in prison: “My oldest is 12—she understands. She’s strong and smart. The three weeks I was in, before I got to come home, she said to me, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll hold things down ’til you get back.’ I’m more worried about how my boys are going to deal.”
On what it would take for him to be conceited like Kanye West: “Selling a billion. At about a billion, I think I’d be pretty hard to deal with.”
On winning awards: “No disrespect to Kanye, but that kinda stuff just don’t mean nothing to me. Whether or not I win an award, I mean that’s nice, but at the end of the day I understand that I’m a man. What being a man means to me is not defined by an award or an amount of records sold.”
